Goji berries of Ningqi No.3 are superior clones selected with the method of comparison of\u00a03 dominant trees\u00a0from goji berries in Ningxia.\u00a0This kind of goji berry is strong with fast growth.\u00a0The plants have opening crowns and strong branching abilities, the bearing shoots are long and soft with sag growth, the inner wall of the corolla tube\u00a0is\u00a0yellow, and there are dense fluffs near the base of filament.\u00a0The goji berry of Ningxia No.3 selected and declared by National\u00a0Goji Berry Engineering Technology Research Center\u00a0has been authorized\u00a0as\u00a0improved variety\u00a0by\u00a0The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Forest\u00a0Variety Approval Committee.\u00a0Goji berry of Ningxia No.3 which has abilities of fast growth, strong branching abilities,\u00a0vigorous shoot growth, cold\u00a0and\u00a0alkali resistance,\u00a0and strong resistance to black fruit disease\u00a0is bred by oji berry of Ningxia No.1.\u00a0Compared with\u00a0goji berry of Ningxia No.1, the fruits\u00a0of goji berry of Ningxia No.3 are large, abundant, sweet, juicy with high yield.\u00a0The polysaccharide,\u00a0betaine,\u00a0and 8 kinds of amino acids\u00a0content in the fruit are 6.6%, 4.76%, and 16.59% higher than the goji berry of Ningxia No.1. But the plant has lower rate\u00a0of self-pollination.<\/span><\/p>\n

Goji berry of Ningxia No.3 is same as goji berry of Ningxia No.1 in\u00a0seedling transplanting, fertilizing, managing\u00a0and other aspects, but it should be taken measures to pest control in advance, and fertilized 1-2 times more, as for new shoots, people should eliminate the buds to prevent removal and short cut.The\u00a0most suitable planting areas for it are\u00a0arid areas\u00a0with water condition in Ningxia such as\u00a0Haiyuan, Tongxin,\u00a0Yuanzhou\u00a0district of Guyuan, it can also be planted in the\u00a0areas irrigated by the Yellow River\u00a0such as\u00a0Yinchuan, Huinong, Zhongning and so on.<\/span><\/p>\n
